Sinaloa, <strong>Gerardo M\u00e9rida S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, fue aceptado por autoridades de Estados Unidos en calidad de testigo cooperante y posiblemente como testigo protegido, en caso de que se determine que su vida se encuentra en riesgo, inform\u00f3 una fuente del Departamento de Justicia a <em>El Universal<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De acuerdo con la informaci\u00f3n, el general retirado entreg\u00f3 datos iniciales a las autoridades estadounidenses para ser incorporado bajo esas condiciones dentro de las instalaciones donde permanece recluido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-expresiones-guerrero wp-block-embed-expresiones-guerrero\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"OnLff1aaFt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/expresionesguerrero.com.mx\/expresioneswp\/?p=14099\">Declara exalcalde de Morena por caso Carlos en Nueva York, donde se declar\u00f3 no culpable de los cargos relacionados con narcotr\u00e1fico y presuntos v\u00ednculos con el <strong>C\u00e1rtel de Sinaloa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El exfuncionario fue detenido el pasado 11 de mayo y posteriormente trasladado bajo custodia del <strong>US Marshals Service<\/strong> hacia el Distrito Sur de Nueva York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Su expediente estaba registrado inicialmente en Arizona bajo la clave S9 23 Cr. 180, aunque el caso quedar\u00e1 radicado oficialmente en Nueva York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el sistema de la Agencia Federal de Prisiones, Gerardo M\u00e9rida ya aparece recluido en el <strong>MDC Brooklyn<\/strong>, centro de detenci\u00f3n metropolitano de seguridad administrativa, con el n\u00famero de registro 62685-512.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La fuente consultada se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el exsecretario sinaloense no opuso resistencia y acept\u00f3 ser remitido directamente al distrito acusador sin disputar el proceso de entrega ni su identidad en Tucson, Arizona, lo que aceler\u00f3 el inicio formal del juicio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La semana pasada, un juez federal en Michoac\u00e1n hab\u00eda otorgado un amparo al exfuncionario con la finalidad de frenar una posible detenci\u00f3n y eventual extradici\u00f3n a Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En M\u00e9xico, el Gabinete de Seguridad inform\u00f3 previamente que M\u00e9rida S\u00e1nchez ingres\u00f3 a territorio estadounidense desde Hermosillo, Sonora, y cruz\u00f3 por la Garita de Nogales hacia Arizona, donde qued\u00f3 bajo custodia federal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El exsecretario de Seguridad P\u00fablica de Sinaloa forma parte de la acusaci\u00f3n presentada por la Corte del Distrito Sur de Nueva York contra el gobernador con licencia <strong>Rub\u00e9n Rocha Moya<\/strong> y otros funcionarios y exfuncionarios se\u00f1alados por presunta colaboraci\u00f3n con \u201cLos Chapitos\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las autoridades estadounidenses sostienen que los implicados habr\u00edan participado en operaciones de tr\u00e1fico de fentanilo, coca\u00edna, hero\u00edna y metanfetamina hacia Estados Unidos, adem\u00e1s de brindar presunta protecci\u00f3n e informaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica al grupo criminal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gerardo
